David is a member of the Utah State Bar, and has been admitted to practice before the Executive Office for Immigration Review, which includes immigration courts nationwide, as well as the Board of Immigration Appeals.
Born in Utah, David spent much of his childhood living in Texas, Florida and Arizona, before returning to Utah to study Spanish at Brigham Young University In Provo, Utah. After earning his degree at BYU, David returned to his childhood state of Florida to attend law school.
David has represented immigration clients before USCIS and in removal proceedings in many locations throughout the country. Additionally, David also represents many non-citizens who are charged with criminal offenses in the state of Utah.
David is a member of the American Immigration lawyers Association, the premier national association of serious immigration attorneys. David served in the Executive Committee for the Utah chapter of AILA from 2013-2015, and was the organization's Chapter Chair in 2015. David is also a member of two criminal defense attorney associations: the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and the Utah Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. David was recently on the Board of Directors for the Utah Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
David is fluent in Spanish.
Mabel Hernandez is a legal assistant at Heier Law, PLLC, When she is not serving the needs of our clients, she is also in school, pursuing a career in Business Management & Accounting. One of her favorite things to do is spend time with her nieces & nephews. She also enjoys meeting new people & helping those in need. Mabel is fluent in English and Spanish.
